6. Upgrade Details

  1. Selecting the Upgrades:

    You’ll choose from a list of upgrades that you completed in your home under “Space heating”. These upgrades include:
    • I have installed a new heat pump and want to apply for a rebate.
    • I have installed a new air-to-water heat pump system and want to apply for a rebate.
    • I have completed electric service upgrade(s) to my home to install a heat pump and want to apply for a rebate.
    • I have installed a new natural gas fireplace and want to apply for a rebate.

    After choosing the upgrade(s), click “Next”
  1. Details about the Contractor and Invoice:

    • Invoice Date: The date when your heat pump was installed.
    • After entering the date, click “Next”
  • Contractor Information: You must provide the name of the contractor company that performed the upgrade.
  • Invoice Date: The date when the invoice was issued for the work completed.
  1. Details about the Heat Pump:

    • AHRI Reference Number: For heat pump installations, an Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) reference number is often required to verify that the equipment installed meets specific performance standards.
    • No. of Tons: For heat pump installations, specify the capacity of the system in tons, which is crucial for determining rebate eligibility based on system size.
    • Location of Indoor Head: If you installed a system like a split heat pump, you might need to specify where the indoor unit is located within your home.
    • Total Cost: The overall cost of the product and installation, which is crucial for determining the rebate amount.
    • Details of a Second Heat Pump: If applicable, you’ll provide information about any additional heat pump units installed.

7. Uploading Required Documents

  • Invoice Upload: You must upload a copy of the invoice from the contractor. This document should clearly state all the work done and the costs involved.
  • Proof of Removal: If your upgrade involved replacing an old system, you might need to upload documentation proving the old system was removed or decommissioned.
  • After uploading all required files, click “Next” to continue.
